18-Dart Clip refers to three different clips. The first is a clip that comes with the Stampede ECS, which is a plain opaque orange clip like the previous 6-Dart Clip. The second is the Firefly Tech clip that comes with the Rayven CS-18, which is opaque gray and contains LEDs and batteries to charge Glow Darts. The third has one opaque orange side and one translucent orange side that lets you see how many darts are in it.

This version is dark gray with diagonal orange stripes on the front and a green Firefly Tech logo on the battery cover. It has LED lights around the top opening that charge the Glow Darts. The newest variant of the 18-Dart Clip is the one belonging to the N-Strike Elite series. It was included in the preview packages Nerf sent to prominent people in the community. Its left side is made of opaque orange plastic and its right side is translucent orange, which lets the user see how many darts are inside. This could be disadvantageous for right-handed players, because their opponents may be able to see how many darts they have left more easily than they can. It is sold in a package with 18 Elite Darts for $9.99. Eight 18-Dart Clips (of any kind) will be necessary to enable the Hail-Fire to hold its advertised capacity of 144 darts.
