Missiles are a type of Nerf Ammunition that is discontinued. They were not very popular, but despite that lasted from 1992 to 2001.

Details[]

It is similar to an Arrow, but smaller in scale and porportion, except for the fins, which are relatively large by porportion. There are seven known color variations and three distinct physical variations. They are actually much more durable than Arrows due to their smaller stature, but they remained unpopular nonetheless, and both Arrows and darts outlasted them by many years.

History[]

The Missile was introduced with the release of the NB-1 and MIssilestorm in 1992. While both blasters had flaws, they were well-recieved and had above average range. In 1994, two more missile blasters were released, both of which were unpopular. The Switchfire was cancelled altogether for a dangerous flaw, and the Double Crossbow had flawed barrels, despite its long range. In 2001, the Arrow Strike was released, which was also unpopular, being alienating to larger users and underperforming. The Counter Strike was planned to be released the previous year, but was ultimately cancelled.

Aero Gliders:[]

Aero Gliders were a short-lived variant of the Missile produced only in 1997 for a few months. They are like Missiles, but with a heavily modified look to fly more like a glider or plane. They were not very well designed, and after both a test market and commercial failure, they and their series were discontinued and covered up.

Arrow Strike Missile:[]

A rare version of the yellow & black missile designed for use with specifically the Arrow Strike, with little aesthetic change from the original missile. These are hard to spot in the wild.
